The 17th Asian Games Incheon, 2014 or Incheon 2014 Asian Games will be held on 19th Sept. – 4th Oct. 2014 (16 days) in Incheon Metropolitan City, South Korea where it is geographically located as the hub city of Northeast Asia. Incheon 2014 Asian Games also known as XVII Asiad featuring 439 events in 36 sports and will welcome approximately 20,000 participants – 13,000 athletes & officials and 7,000 media from 45 National Olympic Committees.

This year Incheon which was selected after defeating Delhi, India in 2007, being the third city in South Korea after Seoul (1986) and Busan (2002) to host the Asian Games. Three new events will be included, there are Archery – Compound (Men’s / Women’s Individual, Team), Triathlon – Mixed Relay, Judo – Men’s / Women’s Team.

The Logo – The shape of the letter ‘A’ for Asia to project the image of Asians soaring together, hand-in-hand, with their wings spread wide.

The Mascot – Three character of seals wre introduced as Vichuon (light), Chumuro (dance) and Barame (wind), harbor seal siblings, inhabiting Baekryeong lsland off the coast of Incheon.

The 2015 AFC Asian Cup will be the 16th edition of the AFC Asian Cup, an international football tournament organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). For the first time in its history, the tournament will be hosted outside the continent of Asia, by AFC member nation Australia from 9 to 31 January 2015.[1] The winner of the tournament will earn the right to compete for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup, which is to be hosted by Russia.

Silat Cekak berasal dari Kedah. Pernah diamalkan oleh panglima-panglima kerajaan Kedah di zaman Kesultanan Sultan Ahmad Tajuddin II. Panglima Ismail, salah seorang panglima kanan kerajaan Kedah yang pernah menewaskan seorang batak bernama Tuah (bukan Hang Tuah) telah menurunkan ilmu silat ini kepada Panglima Tok Rashid. Manakala Panglima Tok Rashid pula telah mengamanahkan Silat Cekak ini kepada Yahya Said yang berasal dari Batu Kurau, Taiping sebagai ‘pemegang amanah’.

Panglima Tok Rashid meninggalkan wasiat kepada Yahya Said yang ketika itu berumur 20 tahun: “Jika ada anak cucuku di Kedah hendak belajar silat ini, hendaklah kau pulangkan kembali”.

Silat ini telah terpendam selama 40 tahun sehinggalah Y.M. Ustaz Haji Hanafi bin Haji Ahmad yang berasal dari Kedah, telah bertemu dengan Yahya Said. Oleh kerana minatnya yang amat mendalam terhadap silat ini, Y.M. Ustaz Haji Hanafi bin Haji Ahmad telah dapat mewarisi kembali seni pusaka bangsa ini daripada Yahya Said. Pada 5 Ramadhan 1385 Hijrah, bersamaan 28 Disember 1965, bertempat di rumah Shafie Darus, Batu 4 3/4, Jalan Gunung Alor Setar, Kedah. Silat Cekak berjaya dilahirkan kembali menerusi Perkumpulan Seni Sari Budaya Sri Kedah yang ditubuhkan pada Februari 1964.

Kemudian pada 19 Ogos 1971, Persatuan Seni Silat Cekak Malaysia didaftarkan dan diasaskan oleh YM Al-Marhum Ustaz Hanafi bin Haji Ahmad Pada tahun 1975, Persatuan Seni Silat Cekak Malaysia telah menyaksikan logo baru baginya yang mana ianya juga telah diasaskan oleh Y.M. Al-Marhum Ustaz Haji Hanafi bin Haji Ahmad, Guru Utama merangkap Presiden PSSCM.

Beliau telah meninggal dunia pada 13 Ogos, 1986 setelah menerajui PSSCM dan mengembangkan silat ini ke seluruh negara selama 21 tahun. Tanggungjawab ini diteruskan pula oleh Y.M. Haji Ishak bin Itam selaku Guru Utama merangkap Presiden PSSCM pada 21 September, 1986. Majlis pengijazahan penuntut baru pertama kali dilakukan oleh beliau di Universiti Pertanian Malaysia pada 13 Oktober, 1986. Y.M. Haji Ishak Itam terus menerajui PSSCM sehingga beliau menyerahkan pucuk pimpinan Silat Cekak kepada Y.Bhg. Datuk Haji Maideen Bin Kadir Shah pada 3 Jun 2009 dan secara beradat pada 23 Jun 2009.

Seterusnya hingga sekarang cawangan-cawangan dan kelas latihan PSSCM telah berkembang di seluruh Semenanjung Malaysia dengan pembukaan kelas-kelas latihan di cawangan-cawangan negeri dan di institusi pengajian tinggi awam dan swasta di seluruh Semenanjung Malaysia.

Lapierre is a famous sports bicycle brand from France which was founded and started as a small shop in Dijon, France in 1946 by cycling enthusiast Gaston Lapierre. Gaston took his greatest passion and turned it into a career for himself, his family, and his dedicated employees. Later his legacy carried on by the next three generations of Lapierre men: his son Jacky, his grandson Gilles, and his great-grandson Stephan. Lapierre’s first bicycles were handcrafted and tested 67 years ago in Dijon where they are still developed today.

The Perak Football Association – Perak FA, is a football association club that formed in 1951 and was firstly participated in the Malaya Cup (later HMS Malaya Cup, known today as the Malaysia Cup in 1921. They are the third most successful team in the Malaysia Cup competition with 7 wins and 11-second-place finishes. They won the last of their 7 titles in 2000 and were runners-up in the 2007 edition. In 2003, Perak FA became the first team in 13 years to achieve back-to-back league titles in Malaysian football.

Perak FA is the only team in Malaysia that has never been demoted to a lower division since the professional league was introduced in 1989. Perak FA calls the 42,500 seat Perak Stadium as its home ground, although it has played some matches at the 15,000-seat Lumut Stadium (inside the Royal Malaysian Navy (TLDM) base in Lumut, Perak) whenever Perak Stadium has not been not available. The Perak FA’s home ground is also sometimes referred to by its nickname, Fair Park as Perak Stadium is located near Fair Park in Ipoh where the team’s office is situated.

Perak FA’s nickname is Seladang which is the Malay name for Gaur, a favourite tagline of its supporters is ‘Kejor Yeop Kejor’, which roughly translates to ‘Chase It, Brother, Chase’. The tagline was adopted by the team after the state government used it as their tagline for the 1996 Sukma Games. In 2007, Perak FA introduced a team song entitled, ‘Skor Yeop Skor’. In 11 January 2014, Menteri Besar Perak, Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abdul Kadir has launch a new logo, Tagline ‘Kejor Yeop Skor’ and a new nickname for Perak that is ‘The Bos Gaurus’ which is a species of Indian Bison.

Perbadanan Stadium Merdeka (PSM) telah ditubuhkan melalui Akta Parlimen No 11 Tahun 1963 (Federation Of Malaya,Act of Parliament, No.11 of 1963). Melalui akta ini PSM telah ditubuhkan sebagai sebuah Badan Berkanun Persekutuan berkuatkuasa mulai 26 Disember 1963 dan mengguna pakai Akta PSM 1963 (Akta 433).

Sehingga berakhirnyatahun 2010, PSM telah diamanahkan oleh kerajaan untuk mentadbir dan mengurus Kompleks Sukan Negara (KSN) yang terdiri daripada empat (4) buah Kompleks Sukan

Kelab Tomoi Kuda Merah Polis Diraja Malaysia (PDRM), terbahagi kepada 2 pasukan iaitu Tinju PDRM dan Muay Thai PDRM. Kelab Tomoi Kuda Merah PDRM menyediakan kelas Muay Thai pada setiap hari Isnin hinga Khamis bermula 8.30 sehingga 10.30 malam. Kelab ini juga menyediakan kursus mengajar Muay Thai serta banyak melahirkan peninju Muay Thai atau Tomoi dari dalam dan juga luar negara. Kelab Tomoi Kuda merah PDRM beralamat di Pusat Khas Tinju & Tomoi PDRM, PULAPOL Jalan Semarak, 54100 Kuala Lumpur.

Ia merupakan suatu inisiatif Kementerian Belia dan Sukan di mana ia adalah satu langkah pro aktif didalam proses transformasi ke arah mencapai hasrat menjadikan Malaysia sebagai sebuah ‘Negara Bersukan’ (Sporting Nation). Oleh yang demikian, Hari Sukan Negara di jadikan agenda nasional yang selari dengan matlamat negara ke arah Wawasan 2020.

FIT Malaysia dikelolakan oleh Kementerian Belia dan Sukan (KBS),
bertujuan untuk menggalak dan memudahkan rakyat Malaysia untuk

untuk menjadikan Malaysia sebuah negara bersukan – sebagai batu
loncatan untuk mencapai kejayaan sukan di persada antarabangsa.

Malaysian Paralympic Council or Paralympic Council of Malaysia, (Majlis Paralimpik Malaysia)’s, mission is dedicated to implementing and maintaining its plans of “Sports For All” and “High Performance Sports” to benefit the quality of life for the disabled. The objective of Malaysian Paralympic Council are to; Organise and promote various sports events and recreation activities for the disabled throughout Malaysia; Develop awareness among disabled people that sports promote a healthy, active lifestyle and build self-esteem; Foster close relationships and mutual understanding between the disabled and the general community by extensively promoting disabled sporting events; Continue to develop the 20 Paralympic sports events, establishing the State Sports and Recreation Council for the Disabled (PESRON).

This is the 16th edition of Sukma Games since its introduction in 1986. It will be the second time the state held such a national sporting event. All states held their respective Sukma Games except for Kelantan. Prior to this games, Sarawak has hosted the 1990 Sukma Games where it emerged as overall champion. As the Malaysia largest state held such a grand national sporting event for the second time, many of the sports venues and facilities were either renovated, newly completed or in use.

Before this, the optional sports games under the Annual Games System, was scheduled to be hosted by Kuala Lumpur and known to public as the 2015 Sukma Games. It was a proposed major Malaysian multi-sport event due to be celebrated in the tradition of the Sukma Games under the said system, as governed by the National Sport Council of Malaysia. The games is expected to be held in May 2015 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It would have been the fifth time Kuala Lumpur host the event and the third time it co-host the event with the other states hosting the games main event. In February, The sports minister announced that the games has been cancelled.

Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah #Pescao55 (born in 1994) is a Grand Prix motorcycle racer from Malaysia, racing in Moto2 class. He began his career at the age of 9 in ‘pocket bikes’, and eventually was nicknamed ‘King of Pocket Bikes’. Dominating the pocket bike category soon after, his talent was then discovered at one of the pocket bike tracks.  Later n 2007 at the age of 13, Syahrin made his debut in the Cub Prix championship in dominating style finishing his first year on the Yamaha LC135 Cup class second overall. His form continued the following year as the Petronas Sprinta Raceline team’s then youngest rider finished on the podium taking 3rd overall in the Yamaha GIVI Cup in 2008, in the process also making waves through his spot entries in the Novice category with impressive results.

Syahrin started the 2009 season on a high winning the opening race of the season at Alor Setar with a win in the Novice category. With 7 wins out of 8 rounds, with the other being a podium finish, his dominance in the category was unrivalled that he opted to forego the final two rounds. The youngster switched to race against his more illustrious and seasoned seniors in the Expert category with podium results. He finished third in the Asia Road Racing Underbone 115cc Championship.

Graduating to take on the expert category in 2010, the switch was seamless as Syahrin literally broke down all the barriers and tore the competition apart. Despite a massive revamp in the technical regulations that led to the renaming of the expert category to become the CP130 category, these changes did little to rattle Syahrin’s cage.

By the time the season drew to a close in Penang’s Padang Kota Lama, the 16 year old had obliterated the competition to emerge as the championship’s youngest ever CP130 champion, erasing the record set by Norizman Ismail who was the Expert champion in 2005 at the age of 20.

2010 was also significant as the 16-year-old made the step up to the bigger league, the Petronas Asia Road Racing Championship aboard a 600cc SuperSport bike. Against a much older and experienced field, the youngster held his own to finish his debut season in a respectable 12th from 39 riders. He finished fourth in the same series in 2011. He moved into the Spanish Moto2 series in 2012, finishing sixth.

In 2012 wild-card Syahrin led during the middle stages of Malaysian Grand Prix on his way to fourth place. The result was later promoted to a third-place finish, after Anthony West’s results were expunged in November 2013.

Logo rasmi, maskot serta tematemasya Sukan SEA ke-29 dilancarkan malam ini dalam acara gemilang oleh Menteri Belia dan Sukan Khairy Jamaluddin. Tema yang dipilih untuk temasya Kuala Lumpur 2017 ialah ‘Bangkit Bersama’, seiring dengan cabaran yang perlu ditempuhi oleh negara-negara Asia Tenggara sebagai satu komuniti pada masa kini dan akan datang.Sementara reka bentuk logo temasya, yang dipilih daripada 174 penyertaan pertandingan mencipta logo tahun ini, adalah berdasarkan kepada simbol Wau Bulan, layang-layang yang terkenal dimainkan oleh penduduk Pantai Timur. Kombinasi warna yang digabungkan pada logo berkenaan pula mewakili warna- warni panji-panji semua negara Asia Tenggara, sekali gus melahirkan identiti Kuala Lumpur 2017.

Demanding lightning reflexes, precise control and fearless, gravity-defying leaps, Sepaktakraw delivers some of the most intense sporting action. Historical records point to early versions of the sport being played in 16th century Thailand, at the Malaysian royal court a century, or 100 years before that, and even across a wide swathe of the Philippines, Brunei, Myanmar, Indonesia and Laos as far back as the 11th century.

The SepakTakraw League is Malaysia’s elite, domestic sepaktakraw league, featuring the best players competing against one another in a 8 team round-robin competition. Players competing in the SepakTakraw League have represented their nation and state, and are recognized around the world as some of the best ever to play the game. The SepakTakraw League was brought out of a partnership between Asia Sports Ventures Pte Ltd (ASV) and the Malaysian Sepaktakraw Association (PSM).
