Logo Red Bull KTM Tech3

Red Bull KTM Tech3 is a new satellite team of KTM factory for this 2019 season, though this team – Tech3, previously being the Yamaha satellite team and last year known as Monster Yamaha Tech3. Tech3 is a French team and has been involved in MotoGP since last 20 years with Yamaha. They have been among the top satellite teams previously until 2018 and this year 2019, they ‘divorce’ with Yamaha and ‘married’ with KTM, from Monster Energy to Red Bull.

This year also MotoGP fans saw they released their one of the best rider they have, Johann Zarco to KTM factory team, believed to be a ‘swap deal’ as the KTM factory team will supply the similar spec of KTM RC16 bikes to Tech3. So they have the almost similar setting among the factory and the satellite team. Unfortunately, the Tech3 riders of 2018, Johann Zarco & Hafizh Syahrin #bo55ku have struggle to adapt to the new machine of the Austrian manufacture, KTM bike. Zarco himself said that he don’t have good feeling with the Red Bull KTM Factory bike since 2019 Qatar GP and Syahrin also admits that he needs much time to get the feeling of the same Red Bull KTM Tech3 bike, when he being the last rider in the test and in the race.

Anyway the rookie of Red Bull KTM Tech3, Miguel Oliveira, as Hafizh Syahrin team mate, seems not much problem adapting to the new premier class of KTM bike. He managed to close to Pol Espargaro, the experience KTM rider of the factory team. Most probably Oliveira has already experienced with KTM bike design and riding style in the previous year Moto2. We hope Hafizh Syahrin managed to get the feeling and adapt to the ‘KTM RC16 soul’.

Riders:

  • #55 Hafizh Syahrin 🇲🇾 Podium: 3x Moto2
  • #88 Miguel Oliveira (rookie) 🇵🇹 Grand Prix victories: 12x (6x Moto2 | 6x Moto3), Podium: 34x (21x Moto2 | 13x Moto3)
